This was what my view was like today...(when i was lying on the prac bed!)

Yap~!!what else can i be doing on the eve of my prac exam!Geez...The shoulder is such a bother...

Look what I found today!I don't know if it is any good!Well, an after prac reward!I'll tell u if its nice!

Oh yes, I'm quite interested in watching "My name is kim samsoon" If you have the show lend me ok??(notice to HUIYING and SOK YEN's MUM!haha...)You know I'm not so into korean show, prefer Japanese drama...Cos korean drama too dramatic and the colour a bit funny~But that daniel henney is quite handsome!Ok if you have his other shows also lend me!hahaa...of course that is not the ONLY reason i want to watch, people seems to think its nice!I read some quotes from the show, seems funny!haha...

This bird is protected by UQ, at least till its babies hatch?!It was at the same spot last year and we recently spotted it again!

Hmmm...Ok such a lame day...Hope that the questions are easy tomorrow! Please don't ask me PNF and exercise progressions!!!!Argh!!!Just looking forward to the end of this misery before the next prac exam comes - in another 2 weeks!?and my essay!?and my physiology assignment!presentation!!!oh no....*massive headache*

See ya!Good luck to everyone!

The video "Sok yen is opening her present" has won an oscar for best heart-warming comedy...Hahaha...thanks!Of course it also won the best production crew award!haha...to the all in one (camera man, commentator...) Ronald!haha....Ok la I will throw in best actresses (in no particular order - Sok yen, Sheila and Huiying) and best actor (for Fabz who was surprisingly quiet!)haha...Thanks again! More touching then brokeback, not that I have watched it yet but surely best video!^-^

Nick starts work today!!Now he has to wake up as early as me!muhahaa....Please don't "eat snake" during work!haha...

HAPPY 21st BIRTHDAY SOK YEN!!!Yeah!!! May all your wishes come true!!^-^ and welcome to the club!hehee...

When I woke up today and walked into the kitchen - I was confused. And kind of shocked....Hmmmm...Look at the pic on the right. Yup I always thought carrots grew from the ground...at least in Winnie the Pooh I remembered Rabbit growing it that way~ Carrots from a doorway?!Or maybe someone is trying to revive the good old days when the balloons were on that doorway...^-^ Well at least I get my carrots fresh from the door. Please don't try and hang durians - that would be damage physically and "orfactorily"(don't think there is such a word!but just mean damaging our sense of smell in my words) to some.

Carrots galore,
Growing from a door,
Saying let me go,
Or I will rot,
Right here in front of your door.

Aloha chalet!!!So far away!haha...I want to go!!!

Als and I laughed ourselves silly while we were studying today!Going mad!I almost choked!haha....

I love my JVC FX55 earphones!Music is so sweet...Ohh...

Check out the new d-snap by Panasonic!(a couple of other colours too!) It has noise cancellation!Oh my...Even though my current ear phones are inner ear type and pretty gd for cancelling most noise at a certain volume...It surely is not noise cancellation! This Panasonic sure is not bad! I can finally stop myself eavesdropping on people's gossips on the MRT!(I can't help it!Ears are always open right!I can't close them!)or even the snores of the guy opposite me!(It happens lots on morning train, try departing from Pasir Ris on the 5.20am train)But I don't know when it will be sold in sg! maybe check out www.audiocubes.com if you are interested! But I think its not out there yet but they have cool stuff!

"Do you know the satay man, the satay man~, the satay man~" This song just pop into my head!

Time for bed!

HAPPY 1 MONTH ANNIVERSARY TO MEIDA AND STEVE!!(i think this is the 1st pic i took of them with my cam!!)^-^ Yeah~~Remember my "syrupy" idea better not reveal too much here!haha...Hmmm...Nothing much with me~The same old routine...Eat-Go to School-Sleep-Eat...ETC!so glad the weekend is in sight! But I have to pass the horrifying PHYSIOLOGY practical tomorrow!Cancel! Cancel!Cancel!Ok at least my 8am lesson is cancelled if that is any consolation!

I know this is quite silly cos I barely remember the words (I may even be making som of this up!)to this song I heard over the radio~ "I know I know...I keep dreaming I keep dreaming that I will be with you...I need to hear you say....Let me go" I think its by Nickelback or Hoobastank!Any ideas!?lol...

Quote of the day: "u are not an alcoholic u are just self indulging" - Alsfer reading from some website!

Wednesday, August 23, 2006

Learnt about bladder control in my prac today - main key is don't go if u think if you want to go, wait a while and if u really need to go then go...lol...ok there is some truth in that ok but of course it depends on the situation! so pls don't quote me!^-^

Hmmm...Had bak ku teh and roast beef(!? clarification!?) for dinner! Thanks guys!lol...hmmm...Nothing much did a bad drive-off from a "slope" haha...Studied...That's about it!?Haha...One of my aunt actually thinks that I'm in Adelaide still! Some of my friends do as well...Hahaa...Ok so I'm in BRISBANE people! Its ok i'll tell u guys again when i get back!

Quote of the day: "looks like the land of funny walks" - Janelle G.. - This morning's pelvic floor exercises prac...We were all contracting our pelvic floor muscles and walking!haha....not easy!If you want to know how to do a pelvic floor exercise ask me!haha....

Ok on my clock reads 12am...so i guess its Tuesday! So I have to talk about Monday as yesterday!Ok yesterday day was as per normal~Love Donna's lecture!!!haha...she keep showing us some personal trainer pics - he was doing all the wrong things when he was doing his weights and stuff...lol...Oh and today during the break btw the lectures i went to the toilet...haha...I have never used the toilet in that building! So i dunno where it was, but since i saw people walking out from that door i just walked in and way the door was wide open. Tried to look for a sign to check if its male or female. Can't find any...Cos in australia usually have to enter a main door and then another door to the main toilets...Ok so I thought it might be unisex. Then I just proceed into the next door which was also wide open, when i was about to reach for the door for the only cubicle...Charles came out and smiled and i asked him "is this...." before i can say "a unisex toilet" he told me i was in the gents!goodness, luckily no one else was there and charles was kind enough to direct me to the ladies!haha....When i came out i saw the gents sign on the first door i walked passed!haha...Not my first time for this kind of mistake...Once in S'pore I walked into a public toilet wrongly..and there were those kind of standing cubicles for guys~haha....i walked in and went opps but i did not managed to be invicible!so embarrassing! So look check for the signs!

Dinner: @ Caboolture!-pic above was on our day there.... was expecting a feast and we really got a feast!lol...The main chefs were auntie cai and auntie chueng(ok i dunno if i spelt it right!- i give her the award for the funniest woman i ever met - under the category of 55 and over)! Auntie cai is a cooking wonder she makes everything from jam to kimchi!Ok the menu for today was bee hoon, satay, chicken wings, sausages, lemon chicken without the lemon, soup and salad! The (lemon) chicken was great! "The secret is in the batter" - auntie cai...Ok, i tried to take a peek when she was doing the batter didn't really catch it!lol...Auntie cheung so funny tell us the oranges "very sweet"...hai...i believed her! ya and the oranges were indeed " very sweet"!She also tried to teach me how to cook the soup...."Boil the pork(bones), pour away the water, boil...boil....add the turnips" Ok we were lost at the third boil! She says making this soup is simple!I probably try someday!Poor mingwei got "labelled" when he say he don't know how to cook it~muahaha...

Ok after dinner the topic was about: How to bring extra weight up the plane...
Let's see Auntie cheung came to australia with overweight baggage already. Now Qantas only allow 7kg hand-carry...She came with 1 jacket going back with 3, she came with 4 pairs of shoes going back with5, she came with 2 bags g0ing back with 3(not sure about the no. on this), came with 20 pair of socks going back with 20..psst she even brought hair colour dye to use here..let's see....she and auntie cai thought of a solution. Wear all 20 pairs of socks, tie one jacket over her waist and wear a furry jacket over neck as a scarf...lol...

Mingwei+Auntie cheung=Havoc+lots of laughter

Quote or rather word of the day:"Recycled Teenager"- Auntie Cai on Auntie Cheung when she claims that she is 18~after i asked her how old she was...

Good luck on her "lessons" tomorrow!!May she graduate with flying colours!!

Let's see I managed to do some studying today...haha...Woke up in shock at 12.30pm!it amazes me regardless what time I sleep I seem to wake up between 11am to 1pm....Oh started on a new TVB series
天幕下的恋人 (Under the canopy of Love in case yr com can't read chinese) today!Even though i have watched till ep 3, i think its nice!Kevin and Bosco look so cute!I still can't believe that kevin is 37 years old!!!will he ever age?!lol...lunchtime eye-candy!haha...ok i better not sound too pervertive here...Oh yes, Pauline thanks for the cookies...(she did some late night baking again!lol...) and also the ymmy yummy quiche for dinner!give me the recipe!lol...

Oh I just discovered Kaka is married!and it was last year!Oh my my...>-<

Had driving lessons,today....not too bad still alive!lol...Hopefully I can take my test soon!hee...Hmmm..had Korean BBQ for dinner!suddenly had the urge when I saw my sis pic on yuki yaki!haha...But the place was hard to find or rather I had no sense of direction??!?Nah...the map was dodgy!!IWe walked round and round to the same spot... felt so full...I had like 7 r 8 cups of tea....I think I won't have any Korean BBQ of any sorts soon!Hmmm..I think basically today was ok for me, didn't do any sudying that I wanted!!i will tomorrow~!Go Man Utd for the new season!!Ok till tmrw then!(Oh man...my update today lacks any punch!oH well!

Oh ya....we were talking about how babies breathe...anyway we were puzzled at what happens to the mother's umbilical cord once its cut??Does it get tied and stuff??I mean its cut at the babies end how is it managed at the mother's end??if anyone know pls let me know!!lol...when I was looking at a forum it seems that majority of people think that the baby is more "peaceful"(doesn't cry seemingly in pain as depicted on tv) when its given birth at home....hmmm...

Hi there!haha...didn't update yesterday cos I was too busy!haha...~Finally completed my essay!!!Good ridance!Altered the changes in my timetable and I realised I have 5 more foolscapes to throw away b4 my sem ends!!Yeah!!Ok if you are wondering what I mean..Cos I print 2 weeks of my timetable on an A4 sheet..Ok I think u can get the idea!Yippee..But 1.5 weeks to my first prac exam this sem!Ahhhh....Ok ANDREA u better start studying!

Ok I think it is time I addressed this issue or rather the case of the missing Rosken since it has been more than 48 hours since it was last seen.. In case you are wondering what is Rosken, its a bottle of moisturiser for dry skin. Hmm..It was last seen on the floor of my room early last week beside als computer. After that, it has been missing! We searched high and low for it..But it is nowhere to be found!I don't know, I use to have this problem of losing things but they usually appear after 1 or 2 days...If anyone happen to see it please return it to me or als...i'm dehydrating!Wherever you are Rosken come back soon please I will promise to spend less time with Nivea!!!!!

Yesterday....Went grocery shopping!Quite fun!Went to Sunnybank got some stuff from the chinese grocery then went to Coles! The cockroach in the ATM machine at Yuen's is still there, I think it can be classified as an antique soon. Anyway, thanks MW (who was nougat crazy!he ate original crunchy, apricot soft, green tea soft, original soft and cappucino soft and crunchy!!)for driving us around!!haha....The sky was nice that evening!Went to Dave's place to have a taste of his culinary skills!Which was pretty good! Thanks DAVE!As you know I'm not very keen on my veggies but I finished every one of the veggies~even the broccoli(Other than the fact that Meida "stole" some peas from me!haha..)They were sweet!Ahh...The secret..boil them with salt water!Ok so if u want to make me eat veggies u know what to do ^-* haha...Also I thought i'll share with you the Aussie way of washing up!

First you have to have 2 sinks...Ok u can use 2 basins too...Hmmm..3 or 4 people?maybe...Fill the first sink with warm water abt 30.5 degrees and then add some dishwashing liquid to it. Mix well. Fill the 2nd sink with warm or cold water either is fine I guess. Ok Person A will take the dishes and dip them in the soapy water scrub it well and pass to Person B who will clean of the soap in the clean water.Person B will then pass to Person C who should be armed with a tea towel and is involved in drying the dishes. (You may not need C if you have very little dishes or have a large rack to put them on!) Optional Person D can be helpful to place the dried dishes and stuff back in the cupboards! Person A take note: the key is to wash the cleanest stuff first and progress to the more dirty ones...e.g. cups, cutlery and then dishes....Hmm...best if you have a dishwasher!haha...Anyway I still prefer to wash my dishes one by one!I don't know I just like that! lol...

More photo taking sessions...Taught Dave and Kate chinese....or rather Mandarin! They are both pretty good!haha...Thats Dave's little book!

Came home...discussed about our 53 year old firemen patient....Started making bad jokes (Just put 5 girls together at 1am) about the firemen calendar which I have yet to get and Ekka ends tomorrow.>-<

Quote of the day: "Take and eat yourself" - MW (Get it!??for those who don't pls contact me...He was trying to tell kate she could eat the strawberries in the blue bag...he was so clueless when we kept laughing!haha...)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LAUREN!!!!Had so much fun over dinner!!haha...Ok lets see we had, roast chicken, potatoes, carrots and pumpkins! And there was a bottle of fat free French dressing!!100%!Hmmm....Thats not all!We had pancakes with fruits and Tim Tams as Lauren's (PAN)cake and we had the ever so good butterscotch pudding!!!With a choice of cookies and cream or vanilla ice cream!haha...Ok the Vanilla ice cream was full cream (which means 100% NON FAT FREE - so for someone who had the 100% fat freesalad dressing, the effect is now neutralised!?So that brings your fat count for the day to zero!haha...I didn't have any salad so that brings my fat count to 100%?oh man I gotta do my maths again...)And I had my first SPIDER on the recommendation of Elise~ It was so good! Its so good that i'm going to share the recipe with you...

Andrea's First Spider
Ingredients: Vanilla Ice Cream(Better to use full cream ones, the fat free ones may not have the *ohmp* factor, Schweppes Lemonade, a Cup...

Method:Put 2 scoops of ice cream into your cup (You can put more if you want~you may just want to beef up your exercise program after that), then pour the lemonade in...Ok there will be lots of foam at least in my case, I find that the best part~Slurp up the foam!!!haha...Ok then pour more lemonade...Voila! Your very own spider!!!

You can do your own variation on the spider, no rules!Hmmm..Oh I just learnt another thing today, never ever put a whole Tim Tam in your mouth. Thats what greedy Andrea did!haha..Ok, its not exactly my fault, cos I was trying to put ice cream over my Tim Tam and then it started dripping..So the higher centre in my head decided to activate the flexor muscles in my arm and thats how I got the whole Tim Tam in my mouth. Basically I can't chew the whole thing, I can't spit it out (Cos we have guests!!!) I must have looked funny or up to something cos others started asking me what was going on, and I kept laughing...I couldn't talk of course!!!By some miracle my tongue decided the best way was to make a 90 degrees maneuveur and I somehow managed to get my jaw working!Yap, so never ever place a whole Tim Tam in your mouth unless your mouth is huge or when there is no one watching....haha....

Quote of the day: "Ewwi argh googege betfdff" - Andrea when she place a whole Tim Tam in her mouth.Geez..How greedy can I get!

I finally managed to wake up for my 8am practical!Gosh but I was in zombie mode throughout the prac...Came back home for lunch!!And Kate was so HYPERACTIVE!Too much sleep for her maybe!haha...Oh the Jumbo Nissin Doll which I won arrived today! It look huge~haha...cheeky look...(Look at Pauline and it -they can't take their eyes off each other!haha...)Watched beautiful cooking~So hilarious! It got my vote for best cooking show ever! And I really want to try KARY's cooking to see if its that horrible, cos she has the lowest marks ever -32!??I think even if its me I will get 1 or 2 marks....haha...(those who tried my maggi noodles don't you agree?!?)Again went to school for another 4 hours of prac...I read the timetable for the wrong day and the household arrived at the practical early!Geez...We think we have not experienced that for a long long time at least *ahem* for some of us..Maybe some people were shocked to see us there~The feeling was great seeing everyone stroll in one by one but I guess i rather be on time! And during the PNF prac I almost fell of the bed cos I was falling asleep, luckily als save me in time!haha...she poked me!Up till then I was scribbling nonsense on my paper~Gosh...I suspect 7 hours of sleep is seriously not sufficient for me...How long do you guys actually sleep??Any secret for getting a good sleep, please share!Came home and was going crazy~haha...I don't know, all of us were in the kitchen and we took a pic!haha...Ya thats raw chicken! To be correct de-fatted chicken which are 99.9% fat free courtesy of Meida...haha....Then we went for K-dinner, which was quite fun~haha...a little disappointed that they changed the menu for dinner, but was still not bad~haha...MW!!!Still sing so little songs, jia you, don't be shy!^-^Als have a little stomach trouble now, get well soon!!!Talking about songs anyone who know the group or the song name to this "This is the story of a girl, who cried a river and drown the whole world...." Let me know!!Do you have to wake up early tomorrow or rather today if you are following brisbane time??haha...I don't have to!(Sorry I'm being a litte mean!)lol...Its the Ekka holiday!!!Yeah~~~We will be having a bday dinner later here!!Yeah~

Quote of the day: "Get me some chocolates~~!!" - Donna McCook - when she was getting tongue tied pronoucing hypothenar eminence in today's prac...I guess chocolates are good cure for anything from moodiness to gibberish, now you have an excuse to reach for those Tim Tams!

Monday, August 14, 2006

A suspicious article was found along Sir Fred Schonell Drive right in front of UQ according to reliable sources.Lots of policemen, firemen and safety officers. I found the road which is usually congested very easy to cross with no cars allowed on Sir Fred Schonell~I couldn't walk the way I usually do as the Glasshouse road was closed.Hmmm....But it was pretty freaky in a sense but I don't think we will have a terrorist attack..I think I was quite calm (in a sense cos when the firemen was directing people, I even thought about asking him if he would happen to be selling a copy of the firemen 2007 calender-which obviously i didn't ask)~hee...I guess it was just a false alarm as when we went to school later in the afternoon the traffic was as per normal! Of course I was not really affected by this whole thing except the fact that I can't have my driving lesson today as my instructor was not allowed on the roads by the police!haha...Ahh...today Meida (the official printer, sportswoman of manors, vaccum cleaner and part time baker, chef) printed lots of notes...If anyone thinks that printing is a simple task, think again!I can tell u sometimes this Canon printers have a mind of their own-trust me I interact with them occasionally. When you want odd pages they give you even, when you want page 3 they give you page 6...>_< anyway thank you meida!Nothing spectacular today, had a lecture and went to BEL to do my e-health essay...Came back and had a Oyster feast cooked by pauline (full time baker, chef, treasurer) opps there was carbonara too! Thanks Pauline!!Oh...and then Meida made her special scones made specially for kaya~haha...all 12 of them woofed down in exactly 8.32 secs with ppl going back for seconds and thirds...And then watched a very exciting episode of Grey's Anatomy..Code Black~hmmm....Listening to the Frugals now one of the many CDs that make up the 24.5 hours of music Dave promised! Its pretty good!Well..I'm going to make an important phone call now!lol...See ya!

Andrea (Ex-Treasurer-reason for leaving the post:can't count pass 10 fingers,Full time cheerleader for meida and pauline when they are doing the serious stuff around the house)

I leave you with a quote from the Queensland government "If everyone plays a part, we can make a difference" (With respect to Queensland water level at an all time low, level 3 water restriction - psss..we are not using our dishwashers!)

Sunday, August 13, 2006

ahh...today i feel so cultured~ why??I went to watch Swan Lake on Ice...Not too bad~My favourite part was the luminous glow in the dark costume part!Very cool~I actually have no idea what Swan Lake is about...But I heard the main theme song before some Tchaikovsky's piece which is often made a parody of in some comedy (that is probably where I heard it from!lol...)Couldn't take pics except during the interval!!!Then we went to Pastano in Conrad to have dinner~Tempted by the casino buffet but we figured not to torture ourselves today despite the evil desserts' invitation...Next time guys i'll starve myself for 2 days before going!Signed up for Casino Rewards card~For those of you who are about to reach into the pocket for the gambling hotline, keep it please!Anyway now i get to bloat myself with something other than the free mineral water!lol...Tried the hot chocolate...incredibly filling-i seriously have no idea why?Maybe they used chocolate flavoured meal replacement drink?Weather forecast for the next few days expect the sunshine state to be up and running at 210 degrees celcius soon~

EKKA!!!I had lots of fun at the ekka today~Animals, flying human cannonballs, showbags, firemen, FIREWORKS!!!The animals didn't all smell very pleasent but they were cute!Look at the llamas on the right!so loving!I step on some animal faeces...but all was good~!!Some little kids were riding small horses~ they were so cute...plaited mane and checkered butt~Showbags pavillion was so crowded! We had to form a human train of 3 people!haha...finally we managed to leave the pavillion unscathed!Als and mingwei bought some showbags~~We got a little red car stuff toy for mw for him to put in his car~~!The food and wine pavillion was really fun too~Tried different kind of honeys~I like the macademia nut flavor best!!!

Went to have a look at the rides and carnival games! Really cool~ Good atmosphere~!Mingwei tried to play the frog game, he got one frog on the leaf! So he won the mini prize "obese" elmo! (NB:I had a choice of cookie monster or elmo but als thought cookie monster looked too simple!)Cos its jus like an elmo in blue and without a nose!haha..)More photo taking! And then when I was pressing some buttons on my camera, some guy just jump in front of my camera and said "Did you get that?"..I didn't!lol...So I asked him if he wants to try again! Then another guy came up and offered to take for us a picture!lol..there it is!(see right)haha...

We ended the day at the arena! With some motorcross show and Holden stormriders truck show~The Human cannonball was quite amazing as I quote alsfer~Then the FIREWORKS!!was great~I'm figuring out how to put a video here..till then live on my amateur pics first!lol...Took a bus out of the showgrounds! Were I met a very cute little boy on the bus! He was looking at the videos on my camera...He was telling me that he took 5 rides today and was shocked when I say I didn't take any rides cos I was scared!lol...His expression was classic~hee...He wants to be a fireman when he grows up!He was also trying to spell train "T...R...A...N" so cute~

Went to WAH for dinner...these korean soups are pretty spicy~!!Haha....Got home and on the bus we met charles!!!From caboolture! The world or rather brisbane is so small~lol...mw should know better!^-^ More food was awaiting us at home~Butterscotch pudding!(Steve's mum's recipe~!!) Yum! SUDDENLY, i realised!Where is my FIREMAN CALENDER!!!??!Now...Als has been crapping away for so long....from the start of this blog and it hasn't ended yet....goodness...bless me~
